Just posted at the official site. I've also had word - not mentioned below - that the show is being recorded for future use * * * * Carbon Casino - Lucky number 7 28/02/2008 Shep On Friday 29th February, Carbon/Silicon will be hosting a spectacular finale to the much talked-about run of their "Carbon Casino", at The Inn On The Green, Westway, London. "The Sopranos in Vegas" will be the special theme of the evening, with the band introducing the usual wide selection of support acts, and proceedings being enhanced by the "Wheel Of Fortune" - containing song requests for the Carbon/Silicon set. A raffle hosted by Mick Jones and Tony James will include prizes such as a Lexus car(!) and signed T shirts. The band are promising a never-to-be-repeated experience, with more guests and surprises to be revealed on the night. This show is going to be *huge* - so please arrive early to guarantee entry. Do you feel lucky? |

Hi Jose, I just 'Woke up this Morning' and found ALL the photographs....all 560 images ....had uploaded for everyone to view from the final Carbon Casino event on Friday at the Inn On The Green. Just click on this link: http://www.pmsphoto.co.uk/authenticate. ... portobello I decided to put everything up there, just in case you had your moment of glory spinning the 'wheel of fortune' or receiving a raffle prize. The guests were just too numerous to mention, but highlights included Alabama 3, James Dean Bradfield, John Cooper Clark and Pete Wylie... I just want to thank everyone I've met at the Carbon Casino. It's the atmosphere that's made these events special and it would have happened without YOU, yes YOU ! Cheers to Mick, Tony, Leo and Dominic as well as all the guests ! Something to tell the grandchildren about....."What do you mean Grandad ? Did you really used to go out and see people playing real instruments ? That's weird !" Evidently, Carbon/Silicon Town. Pete, The Acton Zulu |

Think the lack of replies to this thread tells you all what a good finale to the residency we enjoyed on Friday night. As you can see from Petes photos there was a lot happening, band after band meaning the Carbs didn't take the stage 'til somewhere around midnight. The show started with a raffle with prizes of signed T shirts, Champagne, a Corgi James Bond Aston Martin and a complete boxed set of "The Sopranos" (won by Julian Yewdall), raffle winners were drawn by Richard Archer, James Dean Bradfield, Don "Shake Raffle and Roll" Letts, John Cooper Clarke and Gaz Mayall. The band opened with Magic Suitcase before revealing the wheel of fortune which was to decide the setlist for the night. Here's what happened. magic suitcase Roadrunner - wheel spun by Tina (Landlady of tiotg) War on Culture - wheel spun by Clive (audience member) The News - wheel spun by massive Carbs fan: Spizz Energi Reason to Believe - wheel spun by the beautiful Sienna Miller A National Anthem - wheel spun by Carl? (audience member friend of Robins) The Truth - wheel spun by Micky P (compere) Soylent Green - wheel spun by Penelope (partner of TJ) I Loved You - wheel spun by Iliana (artist who painted the band live at earlier Casino) Gangs of England - wheel spun by Oleg Tolstoy: Band photographer and yes he's related to that Tolstoy, great grandson I believe. Oilwell - wheel spun by Miranda (Micks Partner) Should I Stay or Should I Go - wheel spun by Rhys Ifans * Wheel fiddled by Mick Jones* A free for all ensued for the encore with nearly every Artist joining the band on stage before the show concluded with Why do Men Fight? ps. A Special Carbon Casino VIII in a bigger venue was confirmed by TJ for June |

If anyone's struggling to remember what happened at CC7 then my web gallery should help. All the images are in chronological order - one of the beauties of digital cameras - and by the time Alabama 3 took to the stage for 'Woke Up This Morning' I was buzzing !! I'm desperate to see some footage of the encore ! Pete |
