So Rusty played with C/S then, did he? I expected as much. That's keeping it in the family -- literally -- him being Miranda's ex and all. But he and Mick always got on fine. Must have been weird to see for Grace, but then the Rich Kids broke up before she was born, so must have been weird for her the whole night.

Dom was snowed in, by the way, stuck in Somerset. That's why the need for someone to dep. Crazy weather.

Hi Sarah,

Yeah, it was tremendous. One surprise was just how good Midge Ure was. His solo spot was fantastic. I'd never seen him before and I'll post a link to some of the other stuff too when I've finished editing....

Happy New Year to you by the way, rather belatedly. I'd love to make it down to Brighton tomorrow, but don't think I'll be able to do it. Have a great night !

Cheers,

Pete

Sounds like it was a great night...kind of surprised C/S didn't do at least one song from The Carbon Bubble.

Yeah, me too. I expected perhaps PartyWorld or What's Up Doc, but probably didn't because Rusty was depping on drums....

Don't know why Rusty would be more familiar with the songs off The Last Post, though.

I'm guessing they decided to stick with the stuff that they know well, since there wasn't much rehearsal opportunity immediately prior to this show.

One thing I *do* know is, they only had a 15 minute practice with Rusty before the show ... amazing performance, all things considered.

Thanks Cityfox !

It was a very strictly enforced 'three songs and no flash', but it makes such a difference to have some decent lighting. Please PM me here or e-mail to the usual and I may have some news of a very good D3 going for a good price (not mine BTW) and I can send a link for the rest of the pix.

Best wishes,

Pete X
